As a one-time financial grant, the fund is intended to support young scholars in the implementation of their research project.

Elisabeth Wagner-Olfermann from the research group for Public Relations and Communication of Technology prevailed against the competitors with her dissertation project. In her project, she investigates the media construction of political leadership in cross-border crises and aims not only to compare countries but also crises in the data collection. Already in July, Mrs. Wagner-Olfermann received financial support from the Equal Opportunities Council of the TU Ilmenau, as her project also focuses on the media representation of female politicians.

The money from both grants will now be used for data collection. Ms. Wagner-Olfermann has currently advertised two coder positions starting this October, for which students can still apply until August 23.
