As one of 139 projects, examING - Digitization of Competence-Oriented Testing for Bachelor's Degree Courses in Engineering is funded by the Foundation for Innovation in Higher Education in the federal-state program "Strengthening Higher Education through Digitization".
Subproject: Development of a digital practical test for socket programming (diPS)
Ilmenau has been selected by the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure to become a 5G pioneer region. In the P:Mover project, the city and the Thuringian Innovation Center for Mobility at the Ilmenau University of Technology are now working together with two Thuringian companies to implement a concept in which innovative 5G technologies will make public road transport safer, more efficient and more comfortable - an ambitious task, since in the future vehicles with highly varying degrees of automation and connectivity will be driving on German roads.
The objective of the Cotrack project is the simple networking of different terminal devices without having to rely on an existing communication infrastructure. This networking enables group communication, whereby the group participants form a decentralised radio network independent of existing mobile radio networks and usage fees.
Our home is the center of our life and it should be the center of our connectivity to the world! Seven companies and four research institutions are working on this vision in cooperation with the Verband der Thüringer Wohnungswirtschaft in the "Smart Home Services" network. This network is developing a system providing services to lodgers as well as owners of homes of commercial housing industry, which is independent of specific devices.

In this industry cluster, developers, manufacturers, suppliers, service providers as well as research institutions of electronic measurement and instrumentation technology in Thuringia have come together with the aim of expanding one of Thuringia's core industries on a national and international scale.
In a realistic simulation environment, the generation of sounds is as important as the generation of realistic visual effects. For multiple noise sources existing in a simulation environment at a wide variety of locations, complex analysis methods are required to account for all possible acoustic effects (e.g. Doppler, reflections).
INNOSEG is an interdisciplinary research project funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research as part of the "Unternehmen Region - InnoRegio" program. The project is located at the IBIT - INIT Bautronic Institute of the Department of Building Technology and Computer Science at the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt. Through cooperation with the INIT e.V. company network, the Friedrich Schiller University of Jena, the Technical University of Ilmenau, the Bauhaus University of Weimar and the University of Applied Sciences Jena, competencies of the region are bundled. The interdisciplinary orientation ensures a holistic approach to topics in the field of user-oriented optimization of material and energy flows in buildings.
The future strategy is no longer just "overcoming and eliminating barriers by using mechanical means" but "bypassing and eliminating barriers by using information / information technology".
The project "TAS" has set itself the goal of developing an information assistant and the local and regional infrastructure required for it, which serves as a mobile companion for all user groups and creates barrier-free access to the information provided in a region. This information is all the more valuable when, for example, one is in a foreign environment during a vacation trip.
The purpose of the joint project is to unite the two companies HFWK and DESOTRON as well as further cooperation project partners as subcontractors to form a network in the sense of InnoRegio in order to jointly develop new markets with products. The joint activities are to be precisely defined in a cooperation agreement. The participating companies already produce marketable products in the field of household automation technology, which are to be raised to a new level in terms of utility value characteristics and are also to be introduced in other "neighboring" market segments and offered in the future.
The establishment of a functional and distributed laboratory for the demonstration of multimedia applications for mobile devices within the shortest possible time was the project goal. The laboratory was subsequently used for the acquisition of new projects and the qualification of scientific staff within the framework of the research focus "Mobile Communication".
The provision of tools for the development and use of multimedia and interactive learning documents and their integration into digital learning platforms is the goal of this project. In contrast to e.g. authoring systems, these should enable the integration of existing documents of different types with special attributes and interfaces to the learning platforms.
The central concern of the project is to develop and exemplarily realize offers for lifelong learning for engineers of mechanical engineering and electrical engineering on university level according to the requirements of the technical and social development. The teaching material is prepared in the form of interactive and multimedia image modules of varying complexity and can be combined both disciplinarily and interdisciplinarily depending on individual educational needs.
