Tailored continuing professional development opportunities are a key component of professional and personal development. 

The Central Institute for Education (ZIB), as a central service unit, works together with the faculties, central administrative units and external partners to offer continuing professional development programmes with an interdisciplinary focus. These programmes are aimed at both members of the university and external participants.

The Graduate Center of the TU Ilmenau offers events for the interdisciplinary qualification of young scientists. It networks and promotes scientific exchange. For this purpose, it works closely with other actors at the TU Ilmenau, such as the International Office, the support network we4you, the Department of Research Services and Technology Transfer (FuT), the Central Institute for Education, the Division of Equality, Diversity and Health, the University Library and the PATON | Landespatentzentrum Thüringen. The offers are specially designed to meet the needs and requirements of doctoral students at the TU Ilmenau.

Making information competently, quickly and comprehensively accessible is the goal of  PATON | Landespatentzentrum Thüringen TU Ilmenau. In this institution, a team of experts under the direction of Dr. Christoph Hoock has been dealing with computer-aided technical and patent information in teaching, research and practice for more than 25 years.

The team at theIlmkubator Start-up Service provides support at every stage of setting up your own business – whether you’re still just at the idea stage, already have a concrete business plan, or are already in the process of setting up your business.
