Online collaboration

The UniRZ operates a groupware service based on Microsoft Exchange for employees and structural units of the Ilmenau University of Technology. An electronic mailbox, an address book and a calendar for appointment management and coordination are provided.

Exchange

The service provides storage space for employees and students of the TU Ilmenau. The use of the service requires an account of the TU Ilmenau. Access to the storage space is possible via different ways (web browser, WebDAV, synchronization client, mobile client). When accessing via a web browser, additional functions (apps) are provided. Files and folders can be shared with others. This is not limited to users with an account, sharing can also be done via system generated links for third parties.

The service is linked to the duration of the university account.

TUILM-Cloud

The UniRZ operates several central file servers (OES - Open Enterprise Server), which provide storage space to students, employees and also the structural units via various protocols (CIFS, NCP). Each student (5 GB) and each employee (10 GB) automatically has their own home area available to them upon enrollment, which can also be enlarged if necessary. In addition, this central storage space is available for a wide variety of constellations in departments, institutes, central facilities or across the board.

TUILM-Fileservice

Moodle is an open source learning management system (LMS) that supports collaborative learning over the web. The platform provides so-called "course rooms" (in short "courses"). At the TU Ilmenau, these "courses" are largely used to support classroom teaching. This ranges from the provision of work material, to promoting the exchange of information between students, to offering a test exam. Courses and lectures of the staff of a department are usually located in a common course area.

TUILM-Moodle

The UniRZ of the TU Ilmenau provides a groupware service based on Microsoft SharePoint Server to support group work. A SharePoint project, called a site collection, represents a closed area. Websites, appointments, contacts, lists and files can be managed in a site collection.

TUILM-SharePoint

As a collaboration platform for video/audio conferencing, online meetings, online training, online events, and online teaching, UniRZ is now making the Cisco cloud service Webex available to all faculty, all staff, and all students.

TUILM-Webex

UniRZ provides a version management service for software development projects based on GitLab. The service offers integrated management functionalities, such as bug tracker, milestones, wiki and CI (Continuous Integration).
