Identity Management

As part of a university-wide identity management system, UniRZ supports the automated provisioning of central IT resources. The provisioning of IT resources is also referred to as provisioning. The service thus ensures that all members and affiliates of Ilmenau University of Technology receive the IT resources they need for their work in teaching, studying and research. The reverse process at the end of studies or work at Ilmenau University of Technology is also realized through the automated withdrawal of IT resources. Further development takes place on a project-specific basis. The number of IT resources managed via identity management is constantly growing.

TUILM-MFA (multi-factor authentication)

To secure access to security-critical applications, the UniRZ provides a multi-factor authentication procedure. In order to use multifactor authentication, students and employees must register once in the MFA portal and obtain the necessary tokens. Once registered in the MFA portal, it is possible to view and renew the tokens.

The service is linked to the duration of the university account.
