TUILM Backup - Central Backup Service

Since 1995, the UniRZ has operated a central backup service for the TU Ilmenau. The original approach of a HSM (Hierarchical Storage Management) system was discarded at this time and a "classic" backup system with tape robot was installed. This backup service is currently being implemented for a large number of central university servers as well as numerous institute and faculty servers.

The aim of the backup service offered is to back up the existing data stocks reliably, storage-efficiently and automatically.

The UniRZ provides dedicated database servers for various software systems of the central administration by individual arrangement.

In addition, we offer a database project server for structural units for general use webprojekte@tu-ilmenau.de .

TUILM-WebHosting

Within the framework of WebHosting, UniRZ provides system resources (web project servers) to the structural units of Ilmenau University of Technology for making content accessible via the Internet. This service essentially comprises two offerings:

  • Web projects on a corresponding server with MariaDB and PHP (web space)
  • Web redirections, for example from requested Internet domain names to TYPO3 presences or to web projects

Version management (GitLab)

UniRZ provides a version management service for software development projects based on GitLab. The service offers integrated management functionalities, such as bug tracker, milestones, wiki and CI (Continuous Integration).
