The centre is part of a network of over 800 WHO collaborating centres globally, and supports efforts in health emergency preparedness, response, and resilience.
ICRCAInternational Crisis and Risk Communication Association (ICRCA) is a professional and academic organization of crisis and risk communication scholars, practitioners, policy-makers, and teachers dedicated to fostering research and education toward improving both the understanding and practice of crisis and risk communication in a variety of contexts. ICRCA was founded in 2023 and builds upon efforts by a number of universities and organizations to promote the field of crisis and risk communication.
AlertHubAlertHub: Warning Communication Knowledge Network (AlertHub) is an EU-funded COST Action (CA23126) and aims to establish a European interdisciplinary network to facilitate international collaboration and knowledge transfer among scholars and practitioners whose work involves warning communication and disaster management. Its goals include advancing knowledge, promoting cooperation, and contributing to reducing risks and harm posed to the public by climate change-related disasters.
TU Ilmenau, ThIMoThe Thuringian Center of Innovation in Mobility (ThIMo) aims to support the industry's transition to sustainable mobility technologies. Together with iRisCS-Com, societal implications of the mobility transition and the perception and communication with regard to autonomous mobility are being researched.
University of St AndrewsThe SETI Post-Detection Hub is an initiative of the UK SETI Research Network (UKSRN) and is jointly run by St Andrews University and the University of Manchester. It is developing a comprehensive, long-term institutional strategy that integrates science, policy and communication strategies to prepare for future discoveries of life beyond Earth and to develop forward-looking governance and post-detection scenarios. Its members include renowned scientists from the fields of astrophysics, astrobiology, astronomy, computer science, social sciences and others. iRisCS-Com cooperates in research and workshops on topics such as risk and science communication and crisis planning.
