Felipe Barreto de Souza Martins holds an M.A. in media and communication studies from the Technical University of Ilmenau in Germany and a bachelor's degree in public relations from the Universidade Estadual de Londrina in Brazil. His master's thesis examined the combination of framing elements related to climate change in the main TV news channels in the United States of America.
During his studies, he also worked as a tutor for Prof. Dr. Jens Wolling at the Department of Empirical Media Research and Political Communication and collaborated in research with other departments at TU Ilmenau. From October 2021, he will support Prof. Dr. Emese Domahidi at the Department of Communication Science with a focus on Computational Communication Science as a doctoral student, funded by the Thuringian Graduate Funding.
