The Group for Information Technology in Production and Logistics supports you in the preparation, implementation and recognition of your internship. We will be pleased if you let us supervise an internship that is oriented towards our research and teaching areas. Within the scope of our capacities, we are also available for other internships.
Current announcements of internship offers can be found on our news board in the Werner-Bischhof-Bau (ground floor, left corridor).
If you need support during your internship, you are welcome to contact us for assistance. Please make an appointment via the secretary's office or contact us by email.
The exact requirements for the internship and the internship institution as well as the procedure for application and recognition are specified in the respective regulations and procedures for your degree program. There are significant differences between the departments for which we supervise internships:
Department of Economic Sciences and Media
For study programs of this department you will find the essential information well prepared on the websites for your respective study program (AMW, MW, WI, WIW).
For study programs of this department, the faculty-wide standardized report form is used instead of a classic internship report.
The necessary forms to apply for the internship as well as the report form can also be found under the links above. Please also note the procedure defined there for the application and recognition of the specialized internship. The documents are submitted to the examination office. From there they will be forwarded to us.
Department of Mechanical Engineering
Before starting the specialized internship, the intern is obliged to coordinate the choice of the internship company as well as the internship activity with the supervising university lecturer. This concerns both the tasks to be solved in the internship and the form and content of the report.
Once this coordination has taken place, the form "Registration for the 14-week specialized internship" can be filled out and signed. This must be done before the start of the internship.
After completion of the internship, the recognition of the specialized internship must be confirmed by the supervising university professor. For this purpose, the necessary documents (original internship certificate, internship report (paper or PDF via email), form "Bescheinigung für das 14-week Fachpraktikum") must be submitted directly to the department. The internship report and the internship certificate will be returned to you upon request after recognition, the confirmation will be forwarded directly to the examination office.
