    • Parameter estimation for time series models (Yule-Walker equations and maximum likelihood methods)
    • Model validation and prediction using time series models
    • Frequency-based modelling (Fourier transform)
    • State-space-based modelling (Kalman filter)
  • Process Identification (5 Weeks; Chapter 6)
    • Definition of process identification
    • Theoretical analysis of open-loop process identification
    • Practical aspects of open-loop process identification
    • Closed-loop process identification
    • Nonlinear process identification

The lectures will be in OEC 2007 on Wednesdays from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm and in OEC 3009 every odd Monday from 5:00 to 6:30 pm. The seminar on Monday, October 9th, 2023 is cancelled.

The material taught in the class is directly taken from the English textbook. Class notes will not be provided, since the information can be found by looking in the book.
