Semester abroad

A semester at a university abroad is an excellent way to complement your studies. Students on the Media Engineering programme can broaden and deepen their studies, amongst other things, at one of the Institute’s partner universities by attending the relevant modules for one semester at a university outside Germany.

Work placement abroad

Specialist internship abroad
Students on the Media Engineering programme have the option of completing their specialist internship at a company abroad. Stephan Werner can provide details of company contacts and further information.

Additional placement at a university or research institution abroad
In addition to a subject-specific placement, there is always the option of undertaking an additional placement at a company, research institution or university abroad. Although this is not part of the degree programme, it is well worth doing! Through the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), it is possible to receive funding for this stay abroad.

Involvement in a research project

The Institute of Media Technology carries out numerous research projects with partners from all over the world. For committed students, there are opportunities to work on interesting research questions as research assistants within the framework of such projects. Our staff in the individual specialist areas will be happy to provide further information on this.
