Welcome to the IMT - Institute for Media Technology

The IMT consists of Groupsfive groups.
The focus is on the further development of technology for the production, distribution and reproduction of electronic media.

The Technische Universität Ilmenau is one of the pioneers in media technology education and has been training students in the Media Technology course since 1996. The new study programs Bachelor Media Engineering* and Master Media Engineering* have emerged from the study programs Media Technology.

The research focusresearch focus of the groups is on user-centric and interactive immersive technologies.
