Moodle

Moodle is TU Ilmenau’s e-learningplatform. On this platform, lecturers create courses for the current semester. Within these courses, learning materials, learning activities and semester- and course-specific information are made available to students.

The Languages Committee, of which all language lecturers are members, is responsible for the range of courses and modules on offer. Under the chairmanship of Ms Daniela Junker, the following tasks are carried out:

  • Drafting the teaching and examination plans

  • Updating and further developing the range of language courses

  • Providing information on organisational and content-related matters

Please contact sprachen@tu-ilmenau.de with any comments or enquiries.

Assessing your own language level

If you’d like to learn a language, it’s useful to be able to assess your own language level. To do this, use the self-assessment grid. Once you’ve determined what level you’re at in the language in question, you can enrol on a suitable language course.

You can find detailed information on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages on the website: www.europaeischer-referenzrahmen.de

Self-assessment grid

Open the PDF file linked to each language and assess your own level by evaluating your skills against the descriptions provided for each proficiency level.
