The “ProTELC – Pro Thuringian Engineering Life Cycle” project is an initiative of the member universities of the Thuringian Engineering Sciences Alliance. Funding is provided by the State of Thuringia’s “Future Contract: Strengthening Studies and Teaching.” The goal of the ProTELC project is to strengthen engineering sciences across universities throughout the entire student life cycle. A key component of the project is the development of the Virtual Campus as an e-learning and collaboration platform.
Within this framework, Science Camps are held annually in the spring for bachelor’s students and in the fall for master’s students from the Thuringian member universities.

The eTeach Network Thuringia is an alliance of the ten state colleges and universities in Thuringia dedicated to the collaborative advancement of digitally enhanced higher education. The eTeach Network organizes events for faculty at Thuringian institutions, promotes collaborative pilot projects, and offers user-oriented training programs.

Thuringia’s universities are taking an important step toward making engineering education in the state even more attractive and future-proof. The inter-university project “Thuringia Teaches and Learns Sustainably” (ThüLeNa) aims to establish sustainability as a central element in engineering degree programs, thereby optimally preparing students for the challenges of a rapidly changing world.
