Andre Wirsig (KI-bearbeitet)Together with our partners, we are pooling our activities within the European EuroNanoLab network. The aim is to strengthen collaboration in research and technology development in micro- and nanotechnology and to further improve access to European research infrastructures.
The founding members of #GENL are the Centre for Micro- and Nanotechnologies (ZMN) at Technische Universität Ilmenau and the Helmholtz Nano Facility at Forschungszentrum Jülich. Additional partners are planned, including the Nanostructure Service Laboratory at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and the Max Planck Semiconductor Laboratory (HLL) of the Max Planck Society.
The coordination of the German EuroNanoLab Group is led by TU Ilmenau.
The German initiative builds on the already established European collaboration:
“The ZMN has been part of the European EuroNanoLab network for several years. With the establishment of the German EuroNanoLab Group, we are taking the next logical step: strengthening collaboration between German research infrastructures and making our expertise more visible within the European research landscape.”
– Prof. Dr. Erich Runge, Technische Universität Ilmenau
The new network also offers significant opportunities for the participating partners. Dr. Markus Kaiser, Helmholtz Nano Facility, Forschungszentrum Jülich:
“I am very pleased that, with the German EuroNanoLab Group, we are creating a national network that brings together leading micro- and nanotechnology infrastructures in Germany more closely. The best ideas emerge through exchange with strong partners. Together, we make cutting-edge nanotechnology reliably accessible to researchers.”
We look forward to collaborating with our partners and to further strengthening the visibility of German research infrastructures in the European context.
