Christina Schumann and Dorothee Arlt publish a new study on the development of political dissatisfaction

In a 4-wave panel survey, Christina Schumann and Dorothee Arlt investigate how media use and media trust are related to political dissatisfaction over time. The results show, among other things, that media trust and the use of quality media are associated with lower political dissatisfaction and lower acceptance of violence.

The study has been published in Mass Communication and Society, a leading international journal of communication science: https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/15205436.2025.2511616
