Publication of anthology „Öffentliche Kommunikation über die Energiewende: Zwischen Wissenschaftskommunikation und politischen Diskurs“

How can we effectively use science communication about the energy transition?

That was the starting point for the Power2Change exhibition project and the ‘Science Communication on the Energy Transition’ research project. 

Answers to this question can be found in the latest volume of the academic book series NEU (Sustainability, Energy and Environmental Communication). The volume, edited by Jens Wolling and Dorothee Arlt and entitled "Öffentliche Kommunikation über die Energiewende: Zwischen Wissenschaftskommunikation und politischen Diskurs", features contributions from all project partners. Alongside numerous contributions from the EMPK department at Ilmenau University of Technology, there are also several contributions from staff at Wissenschaft im Dialog, as well as from the project partners Klimahaus Bremerhaven, LWL Museum Henrichshütte, Fraunhofer UMSICHT and DECHEMA.

This open-access volume documents the design, implementation and evaluation of the travelling exhibition "Power2Change – Mission Energy Transition" as part of the BMFTR-funded collaborative project "Science Communication on the Energy Transition". The articles combine practical experience from a large-scale interdisciplinary project with social science analyses, highlighting the opportunities, limitations and conditions for success in effective science communication within a changing social and political context.
