After 20 years, the existing bibliography will be replaced by the new, modern TU Ilmenau University Bibliography from August 1, 2024. The new bibliography not only has a more modern user interface, but also offers many new functions that will be further expanded in the future.

The advantages of the new University Bibliography are as follows:

• a search interface with many additional search options
• search result lists can be gradually filtered further using numerous facets
• import from the Scopus database with appropriately enriched title information
• title records enriched with open access aspects
• creation of personal publication lists in various output formats (e.g. for project proposals)
• comprehensive statistical output for individual searches or for the total inventory in the bibliography
• favourites list function
• simplified registration of publications
• extended output of current publication lists on department, institute or research group websites
• entries verified exclusively by the university library
• source for publication data that can be transferred to other systems (e.g. the TU's research information system)

From August 1st, 2024, new publications will only be registered in the new University Bibliography. As soon as all publications have been transferred from the old to the new bibliography, the old one will no longer be available.
