Silver Medal at the iENA 2024 Inventors’ Fair

„Ideen – Erfindungen – Neuheiten iENA“ 2024 took place in Nuremberg.

At the International Trade Fair “Ideen – Erfindungen – Neuheiten iENA” 2024 in Nuremberg, an invention developed with the participation of the Theoretical Electrical Engineering group was awarded a silver medal.

Dr. Heike Bartsch, Prof. Jens Müller, Dr. Jörg Pezoldt, Kateryna Soloviova, and Prof. Hannes Töpfer received the award for a packaging architecture for superconducting electronic systems.

The invention addresses superconducting electronics, which hold great potential for enabling highly sensitive quantum sensors and efficient quantum circuits in the future. The solution is based on the use of multilayer ceramic circuits which, through an adapted surface architecture, provide an interface between conventional assembly and interconnection technology and quantum electronics.
