Aim of the Project: The aim of the project is to develop a demonstration system that supports tinnitus treatment by a therapist.  

With the help of the demonstrator system, it will be possible to plan the treatment and enable a large part of the sessions to take place in the living room of the affected person, for example, without the therapist:in having to be present themselves. Instead of cost-intensive loudspeaker setups, a system for the lifelike, spatial reproduction of virtual sound sources via headphones will be used for this purpose. The aim is to adapt the auralization (making audible) as precisely as possible to the hearing experience of the patient in the room according to psychoacoustic criteria, in order to largely eliminate stress and additional cognitive burdens.
