Audiovisual Feedback for Augmented Manual Activities During Space Walks

In space, it is silent. The reproduction of airborne sound is impossible here. Hearing, however, is an important sense of perception that enables humans to perceive their environment in an all-encompassing way and to generate situational awareness. Working in space or on alien celestial bodies as well as communicating with other humans can be improved by adding virtual audiovisual information.

The project will be worked on together with our partners from the group of Virtual Worlds and Digital Games and under the project management of Tobias Schwandt.
