Ilmkubator - Start-up Service at the TU Ilmenau

The Ilmkubator is the Start-up Service of TU Ilmenau. In cooperation with our partners, we provide support in all phases of self-employment - regardless of whether there is only an idea, a concrete start-up project or the founding process is already in progress.

Our Services:

Start-up coaching
Connecting you with our network of mentors, potential partners, clients or experienced professionals
Access to and advice on funding opportunities
Networking events
Access to infrastructure, particularly for those wishing to build a prototype or test their ideas: IlmkubatorLab as part of FabLab@TU Ilmenau
Workshops, knowledge transfer: depending on requirements, also short courses such as the Business Model Workout
The Certificate "Entrepreneurial Skills" certificate is offered in German.

This was also the case with the Christmas soldering event organized by the UNIKAT student workshop and the IlmkubatorLab at FabLab@TU-Ilmenau, as well as other associations at TU Ilmenau such as VDI Young Engineers Ilmenau, the Ilmenau regional group of Engineers Without Borders, the VDE University Group Ilmenau, the IEEE Student Branch, and the student council of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology. At their invitation, cool “makers” from the university met today in the machine hall to solder Christmas kits such as 2D and 3D Christmas trees, stars, and hearts in a cozy atmosphere with gingerbread, cookies, and punch.
